Sunday
Recipe for a lovely Sunday:
Ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, cherry.
Sunday was one of the good ones. Although the intermission of the piano recital was unbearable, and we didn't get an encore. Why not throw in some Bagatelles, Mr. Paul Lewis? You only played three songs, after all. (That last sentence is dripping with understatement, btw.)
While skateboarding, Jason attempted to slide a rail that was not waxed. He wiped out when his board stopped moving, and he kept going (an object in motion tends to stay in motion, and all that). Somehow he managed to scrape his knuckles and gouge the palm of his right hand in one fall. How? It is a mystery. I did not wipe out. After a three year hiatus, that's pretty good.
Have you seen the turtle + cat movies at Cute Overload lately? They are très amusing. I wonder what is keeping the "kitteh" from biting off the turtle's head. One chomp and it would all be over, Raphael. So aggressive! I guess the idea of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles isn't very far-fetched after all.
There's a man in his 50s who regularly suntans on his balcony. I can see him if I look out the window. He stands with his hands on his hips with his back to the sun, then he turns 180 degrees. Like a rotisserie. Is this how he's spending his retirement? Like a chicken at Safeway?
The story is brewing. It is either about a bird or a girl in a red hood.
- Sleep in.
- Favourite coffee.
- Piano recital: Beethoven's late piano sonatas. Float in a cocoon.
- Drive home along the ocean road.
- Snack: root beer cookies with root beer.
- Sushi.
- Skateboarding!
- TV.
- Wine.

Skating is fun, falling is less fun.
