Happy ♥ Day!
To get in the love-y cuddle-y mood, you can visit Cute Overload. It will make you smile. (Thanks to D Lo for telling me about this site.)
To celebrate today, I'm going to eat cinnamon hearts all day, and then watch True Romance tonight.
Have a good one! Spread the love!

This is Miss Details D Lo checking in. Seeing the pic of skis reminded me to ask you - do you ski? What type of gear is recommended for a very beginner skiier? Is a helmet overdoing it? Thanks for any advice you (or others) can offer.

A helmet is probably a touch to much. Once you get all crazy doing black diamonds at lightning speeds, then it may be more useful. Oh remember that we don't have any mandatory standards for ski/snowboard helmets so if you get one check to make sure it has some qualification.
As for skis? A friend of mine has taken this year to demo skis from a local shop. Each time she goes out her guy at the shop recommends a new demo pair to try. At the end of the year she plans to buy her fav set.

I snowboard. I prefer to face gravity sideways. I may even go snowboarding next weekend!
I've never worn a helmet, but I know people who have gotten concussions snowboarding, but that's because they fell on their head after hitting a jump, or attempting to be eXtreme.
I also don't think a beginner needs a helmet. A beginner needs a pillow in the seat of his/her pants.
